We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Officer to join our team at Alliance Airlines Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day maintenance and operations of the aircraft hangar facility are carried out safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Facility Maintenance: Assist in routine maintenance and minor repairs of hangar facilities, including general upkeep of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Safety and Compliance: Support the enforcement of health and safety regulations within the hangar, participate in safety inspections, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Contractor Assistance: Assist in liaising with external contractors and vendors for maintenance services, ensuring that contractor work is conducted safely and efficiently.
- Operational Support: Help with the planning and implementation of facility projects and improvements, participate in efforts to enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain basic records of maintenance activities and safety checks, provide updates and reports to the Facilities Manager as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, additional vocational training in facilities management or maintenance is beneficial.
- Experience: Some experience in a facilities support or maintenance role is preferred.
- Skills and Competencies: Basic understanding of building maintenance and repair tasks, good organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team, willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
