About the team
The Architecture, Infrastructure & Networking Branch, consists of three interconnected teams who work collaboratively to support the ASC's IT ecosystem:
- Architecture Team focuses on designing and planning the overall structure of ASC's IT systems, including system design, scalability and performance, integration, security, alignment with business goals, technology evaluation and cloud strategy.
- Infrastructure Team manages the underlying hardware, software, and services that support ASC's IT operations, including network infrastructure, data centres, storage solutions, virtualisation, monitoring and troubleshooting, capacity planning and disaster recovery.
- Networking Team: focuses specifically on network-related tasks, including network design, configuration and maintenance, IP address management, network security, performance optimisation, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and wireless networks.
About the role
The ASC's Change & Release Manager sits within the Architecture, Infrastructure & Networking Branch and is responsible for the transition of technology projects/change into service. You will be responsible for managing both project related and operational changes that will affect or has the potential to affect live services.
You will have full responsibility of ensuring effective control and mitigation of risk to the security, availability, performance and impact on the business and more importantly maintaining our services to internal and external stakeholders.
About you
We are looking for a motivated and driven individual with excellent attention to detail and experience in developing and implementing technology change processes within a Government context.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience with coordination and facilitation of technology Change & Release Management processes and procedures.
- Understanding the Solution Delivery Lifecycle and relationship to Change Management & Release Management.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the ITIL best practice framework, with ITIL Certification considered advantageous.
- Knowledge and understanding of Project Management methodologies, including Agile project delivery.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information to understanding of a layperson.
This position is offered as a fixed term position until September 2025.
