Tennis Australia (TA) is one of the largest rights-holder, sport's governing body and media production houses in Asia-Pacific and each year we deliver Australia's premier sports and entertainment event, the Australian Open (AO). We are now looking for an Event Workforce Coordinator to join our Diversity & People team, on a maximum term contract until February 2025.

About the role
Reporting to the Event Workforce Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a consistent employee experience for all the event workforces across both the Australian Open and Summer of Tennis. You will play a key role in fostering a positive culture during all events underpinned by high performing and engaged event workforces. Working in close partnership with both the AO Operations and Major Events teams, you will implement practices and initiatives that are aligned to the organisational objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with the end to end recruitment and selection activity for major event workforces.
- Liaise with internal functional area managers and Diversity & People team to understand structures of all workforces engaged by TA for events.
- Ensure all employment/volunteer contracts are up to date and built into the recruitment system.
- Work with internal and external diversity and inclusion parties to ensure our event workforce processes are open to all.
- Collate, record, and file all incoming employment documentation (background checks, payroll documentation etc.)
- Provide assistance to functional area managers regarding recruitment, compliance, feedback, and reward and recognition programs.
About you
What you will bring to the role:
- Previous HR and/or events experience with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment with conflicting tasks.
- Ability to build rapport, maintain confidentiality & remain calm under pressure.
- Developed computer literacy with experience in the use of databases and Microsoft Office suites.
- Demonstrate self-motivation with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
