Formula for Success

As Contract Manufacturing Manager, you'll support the BASF Agriculture business in achieving its strategic objectives by overseeing the implementation of the sub-regional contract manufacturing strategy in Australia and New Zealand. This will involve ensuring compliance for all activities related to Formulation, Filling, and Packing (FFP). Through this position, you will play a vital role in maintaining the company's standards of quality and efficiency in the manufacturing process.

You'll:

  • Be responsible for the relationship and management of Contract Manufacturers in ANZ.
  • Provide support to Contract Manufacturers on FFP technology, packaging, engineering, best practices in EHS and Quality Management.
  • Lead and implement contract negotiation and renewal for Contract Manufacturers.
  • Drive Total Cost of Supply optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Carry out regular visits to contract manufacturers as part of relationship management.

Ingredients for Success

To be successful in this role, you'll demonstrate in depth knowledge of production / manufacturing and implementing processes within a highly regulated environment. You'll be a natural communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders of various levels, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.

You'll:

  • Hold a degree in Engineering, Chemistry or similar.
  • Be highly diligent with excellent attention to detail
  • Good understanding of chemical formulation processes, EHS and Quality management and relevant local regulations.
