Category Procurement Specialist

About the role:
Develop and implement category strategies to optimise procurement processes and achieve cost savings goals.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align category management strategies with organisational objectives.Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to identify potential cost reduction opportunities and mitigate risks.Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service level expectations.Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact category management strategies.Provide regular reports and analysis on category performance, including key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and risk mitigation efforts.About you:
Experienced professional with a proven track record in category management and similar industry/categoryStrong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and conditions with suppliers.Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.Strategic thinkerAnalytical mindset with the capability to conduct market analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive data-driven decisions.Results-oriented with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement within the category.
