Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Kaluza Full time

Closing date for applications:

Friday 21st June, 2024 Kaluza wants to power a world where net-zero is within everyone's reach, by building the platform that will accelerate a sustainable, affordable and resilient energy transition.

It's a huge challenge, but often the toughest problems are the most rewarding to solve.

Since launching in 2019, Kaluza's technology has been empowering some of the biggest energy suppliers to better serve millions of customers.

From revolutionising billing to smart electric vehicle charging, our real-time cloud platforms transform supplier operations, reducing cost to serve and boosting engagement.

And most importantly, they enable suppliers' customers to drive decarbonisation with smart, low carbon technologies.

Kaluza is currently in an exciting growth phase, undergoing the next phase of our international expansion in Melbourne to further reinforce our capabilities as a globally distributed energy platform.

This means that you would be one of the earliest Kaluza employees on the ground in Australia, working directly with our clients in the region.

We're in the early days of building our team and so in-office presence to us is important - working really closely with our clients to forge a strong working relationship.

Our team currently works from our office in Melbourne CBD (Spencer St) 2-3 days per week. Our goal is to build a self-sufficient and empowered team here on the ground in Australia.
We're well on our way, but until we get there we still have some reliances on our UK team.
Being comfortable working flexibly for a portion of your working week to cover time zones is required.

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working? Kaluza's Programme Managers work in Client Success:

they are at the heart of delivering maximum value to our clients by orchestrating our major implementation programmes and ongoing professional services projects.

In this role, you'll facilitate work getting done across multiple organisations, have strong empathy skills, commercial nous and, of course, be extremely organised.

You'll be able to draw on years of experience working with clients to deliver complicated projects that contribute to transformation through technology.

As a Programme Director at Kaluza, you will have delivery accountability for our major Saa S implementations in the region.

As such you will have experience of leading transformation programmes in the energy sector.

You will lead a team of project and programme managers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure deliveries are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

You'll be working on the Kaluza's Energy Retail platform.
This is a Saa S technology platform that aims to revolutionise the operating platforms for energy retailers globally.

This platform has been built with scale and technical quality in mind and is the foundation for decarbonisation efforts by Kaluza's customers.

What will I be doing?Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software implementation programmes.
Develop and maintain delivery plans, timelines, and budgets.
Monitor progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure successful delivery.
Identify potential risks and issues related to programme delivery and develop mitigation strategies.

Maintain close contact with a global cross-functional delivery team: product development teams are predominantly UK-based, and some technical teams based in India.

Proactively address any challenges that may arise during the course of the programme to minimize impact on timelines and outcomes.

Stakeholder Management:
Be the principal point of contact for senior leadership (especially C-suite), at Kaluza and its clients and partners.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment on programme objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and executive sponsors, providing regular updates and managing expectations.

Be a key leader in the Australian team working closely with 'the mothership' in the UK, particularly the senior leadership team.

Drive process improvements and best practices within the programme management function.
Analyze programme performance metrics and feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Provide leadership and guidance to individuals and teams contributing to the programme.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the organisation.
Kaluza is currently in an exciting growth phase, undergoing the next phase of our international expansion.

This will further reinforce our capabilities as a globally distributed energy platform and means that you would be one of the first Kaluza employees on the ground in AustraliaIs this the job for me?Ideally you'll have/be Proven experience (10 years) in programme management or related roles, preferably within the technology or energy sector.

Demonstrated experience leading a major technology-backed transformation programme Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels, with demonstrable experience of working with the senior-most members of an organisation.

Solid understanding of project and programme management methodologies and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and work-streams simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Project and/or programme management certification is a plus.
Comfortable in ambiguity, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
