Technical Director Hydrogeology Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director Hydrogeologist to join our Geotechnical Engineering and Geosciences Group in Victoria. As a key member of our Groundwater Resources team, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and expertise to internal and external clients on groundwater resource management, policy, planning, and protection.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in hydrogeology, with experience in groundwater resource investigations, hydrogeological conceptualisation, groundwater impact assessments, and resource evaluation. You will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

As a Technical Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the delivery of projects for the planning and execution of hydrogeological investigations and assessments.
  • Providing advice to clients on groundwater resource management, policy, planning, and protection.
  • Designing and directing desktop and field-based investigations, including for groundwater resource exploration, dewatering, and environmental programmes.
  • Supporting civil infrastructure design and reviews for major infrastructure projects.
  • Supporting, managing, and directing the delivery of data analytics and technical reporting.
  • Business development strategy, including input to the business planning process and consideration of emerging market opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in hydrogeology or a related field.
  • Significant experience in hydrogeology, with a strong background in groundwater resource investigations and hydrogeological conceptualisation.

  • Strong business development and project management skills.
