The Role

The RCH Medical Imaging Department (MID) is seeking a Radiologist who demonstrates a strong interest in developing sub specialist skills in paediatric interventional radiology. There will be opportunity for the successful applicant to gain additional experience in reviewing and reporting of diagnostic paediatric radiology imaging to assist with the development of their interventional skills.

This Fellowship position is a fixed term, part time 0.4 EFT (2 days/week) role.

Essential Qualifications include:

  • Completion of radiology training
  • Completion of appropriate radiology examinations and / or assessment (FRANZCR)
  • Demonstrated experience in Tier A & B interventional radiology
  • Recognised as specialist by AHPRA

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Work under the supervision of the experienced RCH paediatric interventional radiologists
  • Develop and consolidate experience and expertise in all aspects of paediatric interventional imaging, both vascular and non-vascular
  • Develop further experience in reviewing and reporting of diagnostic paediatric radiology imaging
  • Assist with promotion and advancement of knowledge, technique and standards in interventional Medical Imaging
  • Medical Imaging services provided will be within the objectives and philosophies of The Royal Children's Hospital
