We are the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria or, more fondly, Vinnies Victoria.

For more than 165 years we have been providing practical and compassionate support to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.


Under our Good Works umbrella we have many services and programs, including soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria (VCV), which assists some of Victoria's most vulnerable communities, such as people experiencing homelessness, the housing crisis and family violence, and the elderly.


About the role


Both strategic and hands on, as the Organisational Development Manager, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of collaboration, diversity equity and inclusion and continuous improvement across our organisation.

A pivotal member of the HR leadership team, you will lead your own a small team, including the Learning and Development and Diversity and Inclusion function through the organisational wide the design, support, implementation, and evaluation of various programs and strategies, to put mission at the heart of all we do.


As the Organisational Development Manager, you will be: ;

  • Developing and implementing organisational development strategies aligned with the Society's mission and goals.
  • Facilitating, supporting, and leading organisational change efforts and capabilities, including communication plans.
  • Leading the design and implementation of the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy across the Group.
  • Leading a team of specialists in executing Learning and Development and Organisational Development programs.
  • Partnering with senior leadership to identify opportunities for capability development, process improvements, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Facilitating workshops, training sessions, and teambuilding activities and coach on performance and leadership development.
  • Analysing and interpreting HR data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

About You:

As a relationship first leader with a passion for diversity and inclusion, you are familiar with working across multiple groups to influence and uplift their capabilities.

You are enthusiastic, emotionally insightful, highly organised, detail-orientated and driven by a commitment to continuous improvement.

Utlising your previous experience in designing and facilitating organisation-wide change initiatives, you will help our organisation build a culture of leadership, excellence and diversity.


More specifically you will have;

  • Bachelor's degree in Organisational Development, Human Resources, Change Management, Business Administration, or related field _(preferred)_.
  • Certification in Organisational development, change management, or related field _(preferred)_.
  • Demonstrated passion for Diversity and Inclusion
  • Significant experience in organisational development or related field with the track record of designing and implementing organisational and capability development initiatives.
  • Experience in working within complex stakeholder environments. Experience in managing and leading teams, with the ability to coach, inspire and motivate others to achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organisation.
  • A passion to develop others to help them achieve and succeed in new fields.
