About the role:


Our Pathways School, provides programs to local and international students that are 'pathways' to studying at the University of Melbourne.

The Wellbeing Coordinator provides initial counselling, support, referral, and advisory services for Trinity College Pathways School students, and works alongside teachers, administrators, Wellbeing staff, and the Dean to develop and implement the School's wellbeing and pastoral care program.


This position works with the Pathways School executive and the broader staff to develop, oversee, and implement the wellbeing and pastoral care programs for the Pathways School, including triaging cases, managing reports of student wellbeing from a variety of stakeholders, counselling and managing students at risk, liaison with external referral agencies including psychological and psychiatric services, and the direction of proactive wellbeing programs for Pathways School students.


The Coordinator will work with a range of other support staff within the Pathways School in a case management environment, reporting on student wellbeing and referrals on a regular basis.


Skills & Experience:


To secure this exciting role, you will need a tertiary qualification relevant to the role in Social Work or Mental Health or relevant area.

A full membership or eligibility for membership, of the AASW, APS, PACFA or equivalent.

Demonstrated work experience in a similar role with specific work experience in the provision of counselling for young people, preferably of Pre-University age of diverse backgrounds, as well as, experience in the assessment and management of complex cognitive and emotional, mental health, and developmental issues amongst a diverse population.


Contract term:
This is a full time, ongoing position.

Salary:
Band - FTE $85,390 plus 10.5% Superannuation and 17.5% Leave Loading.
