What's on offer?
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Group Insurance Manager to join our team to lead the insurance function for Fulton Hogan Ltd across Australia and New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of insurance for the Fulton Hogan Group ensuring the procurement is aligned to the Group Insurance Guidelines.
This role will be based in our Richmond office in Australia and report directly to the Fulton Hogan Company Secretary.
How you'll connect to the role?
As the Group Insurance Manager, you will drive the Fulton Hogan insurance strategy through continuous development, annual review, and update of the Group Insurance Guidelines. This position carries the responsibility of providing insurance advice to senior managers, project managers, commercial managers, insurance brokers, insurers, solicitors and other external service providers and stakeholders on insurance requirements, implications, and operational insurance risk identification. Other key responsibilities will include:
- Provide monthly reporting to the Group, NZ and Australian Boards, and quarterly reporting to the Audit & Financial Risk Committee, with respect to the Group's insurance activities.
- Oversee and support the annual insurance renewal process including data collection, insurer engagement and presentation, review and assess renewal options, report, and invoice accordingly.
- Ensure business compliance with Group Insurance Guidelines, and escalating non-compliance situations to appropriate senior management.
- Maintain industry knowledge through understanding key legislative changes and industry trends. Assess potential impacts of industry and legislative changes on Fulton Hogan activities.
- Manage Group appointed insurance broker, including the ongoing review of broker service level agreement delivery of services to Fulton Hogan.
- Undertake management of insurance claims and oversee and coordinate the Insurance and Emerging Risk Focus Group.
We are seeking an accomplished professional with an ability to develop strong and trusting relationships with all levels of the organisation. Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, coupled with experienced subject matter expertise relative to insurance, insurance procurement and brokering, will set you up for success. You will also:
- Possess a minimum 8 years' experience in general insurance programs and claims management.
- Relevant degree qualifications in Insurance or Risk Management is preferred.
- Experience and working knowledge of financial risk management concepts, strategy, and systems.
- Ability to manage and oversee claims in all general insurances and manage, support and guide other insurance staff.
- Provide market analysis and recommend appropriate insurance frameworks.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen.
