The Role

Epworth HealthCare, Victoria’s largest not-for-profit private healthcare group, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Group Manager - Research Operations to join its team at the Epworth Research Hub, Richmond. Reporting to the Group Director Research & Chief Research Officer, this full-time position will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of Epworth’s research strategy and its vision of delivering another 100 years of exceptional healthcare and innovation to the Victorian community.

**You will make an impact by**:
Providing operational leadership for all Epworth research, including sponsored and investigator initiated studies.

Ensuring research programs are planned and implemented in a consistent and coordinated manner, aligned with Epworth’s strategy.

Providing research operations advice to the Group Director of Research/Chief Research Officer and the Group Research Governance Committee.

Implementing Board and Executive research directives, operational management of Epworth Medical Foundation grant programs and support development of capabilities and capacities within Epworth research centres and clinical institutes.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:
A degree in a relevant field, such as science or healthcare management.

Minimum of five years of relevant experience in research management and operations, preferably in healthcare or a related field.

Strong leadership, management and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of research governance, risk management and regulatory accountabilities, including considerations relating to patient safety.

Experience in implementing research management frameworks and delivering successful research programs.
