What you will do:

  • Work on iconic projects
  • Work in a high impact, market-facing and civil engineering delivery focused role
  • Manage ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients
  • Ascertain specifications and evolving client requirements
  • Proactively determine, manage, monitor and control scope of works
  • Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and civil engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets
  • Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
  • Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team
  • Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.

About you:

  • Bachelor to Masters' level degree (Civil Engineering)
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia (desirable)
  • Excellent expertise in civil engineering and design documentation, including sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes
  • Solid industry experience on Australian civil engineering projects, ideally in a consulting environment
  • High level of expertise in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging and scale and sector
  • Sound client facing, business development and account/relationship management skills
  • Strong project management skills, including managing civil engineering teams
  • Adept in cross-discipline project delivery and an effective collaborator with all key engineering disciplines
  • Ideally well-versed tendering requirements and influencing successful outcomes being achieved
  • Well versed with tendering requirements and ensuring successful outcomes
  • Proven ability to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects
  • Highly developed customer-focus, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
