Who are we looking for?


Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, our Head of Development and Projects is an experienced professional demonstrating strong capability and experience leading the execution of significant residential or commercial developments.

In this role, you'll oversee and lead development projects with innovation and purpose in our unique social justice sector. These developments provide housing for people in need and service centres across our diverse portfolio of social service programs.


Possessing substantial knowledge, you collaborate efficiently and effectively with external developers, consultants, builders, construction firms, and your internal team of Development and Project Managers.

You'll be empowered to utilise your strategic leadership and advice to manage and execute property development projects from concept stage to completion.


What can you expect to be doing?

  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction to management and staff in the area of property development, project and facilities management.
  • Provide your team of Project, Development & Facility Managers strategic advice, leadership and direction. In consultation with stakeholders, develop and manage property development and project outcomes.
  • Manage a pipeline of developments focused on housing, aged care and service centres across our diverse portfolio.
  • Prepare and provide business case proposals and reporting to the Executive team

What do you need to bring?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Property, Planning, OR demonstrable equivalent experience (essential).
  • Proven experience in project/development/facility management with a strong residential property development focus.
  • Strong proven capability writing structured proposals.
  • Ability to negotiate successful property / project outcomes & contracts with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven effectiveness in financial planning/analysis and managing project finances and budgets.
  • Capacity to manage a team to deliver project outcomes consistent with our values and purpose.
