Our Federal Government client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Director

Competitive Rate of $64-$69 an hour

12-month contract with opportunity for 3 extensions of up to 12 months each
Locations:

  • Canberra
  • Batemans Bay
  • Wagga Wagga
  • Wollongong
  • Hobart
  • Perth

Duties

  • Lead and support operations across a number of service delivery teams, including monitoring business performance, setting priorities, managing resources and workflow
  • Lead and manage staff including overseeing the management of performance, attendance and health and wellbeing
  • Conduct coaching conversations to build staff capability
  • Undertake business and strategic workforce planning
  • Report on the achievement of business outcomes, key performance indicators and quality assurance to manage overall performance
  • Engage and partner with key internal and external stakeholders to build service delivery capability
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues that adversely impact on policy, performance and/or service delivery
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies, operational policy and procedures and change initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve outcomes


Competitive Rate of $64-$69 an hour

  • Strong experience in leadership and mentoring of diverse teams, with a wellbeing focus
  • Stakeholder engagement, particularly in complex matters
  • Application of legislation and policy with a focus on quality outcomes
  • Professional, sensitive and trauma informed clear communication style that can convey complex messages, tailoring to different audiences
  • Interpret emotional wellbeing of self and staff under your direction
  • Delivering outcomes within a trauma informed framework.
