Our client is a Leading Orthopaedic Surgeon seeking a Theatre Bookings Clerk Full-time. This role is based in Spring Hill. Parking is provided a short walking distance from the hospital.

This role involves taking full ownership of the Theatre Bookings role within this busy surgical practice

This position will involve:

  • Booking patients for surgery with the Surgeon
  • Organizing patient surgery preparation paperwork, including providing quotes
  • Arranging preoperative appointments if required and providing preparation material (e.g. pathology, scripts etc)
  • Liaising with patients regarding their surgery, ensuring individual needs are addressed and confirming patients are prepared for theatre
  • Arranging cases appropriately on theatre lists and communicating lists and related information to relevant parties (hospital, anaesthetist etc)
  • Booking all equipment for cases, including tracking custom planning for cases as required and obtaining product or fee approvals as required (TGA, DVA, private health)
  • Supporting reception as required
