We currently have an exciting opening for a General Manager Strategic Transformation to join our Operations team in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Group Executive Operations, and as a crucial member of the Operations Leadership Team, this role will play a vital part in the success of our Operations Transformation Program. You will lead the delivery of the strategic transformational plan, creating new ways of working that empower APA Operations Division to drive the energy transition.

This position offers flexibility and hybrid work.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish the Operational Transformation Roadmap by collaborating with the Operations and wider APA leadership team to execute the strategic transformational plan for energy transition
  • Execute the Operations transformation roadmap to meet customer needs
  • Develop and implement new working methods that match the transformed operating model
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders within APA to ensure alignment and support for the transformation program, including regular updates on project advancement
  • Set and monitor key performance metrics to gauge the success of the transformation project
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Executive Leaders Team

Your Background

  • Proven track record in leading development and delivery of complex transformation programs in an operational business emphasizing safety, customer focus, and production
  • Experience in leading a sizable and complex Operational Team
  • Proficient in Analytical, Problem-solving, and Project Management skills, with qualifications in LEAN, Six Sigma, or related methodologies
  • Sound understanding of operational models and organizational structures
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to engage stakeholders
