Our team works collaboratively with clients to meet their plant hire and earthworks requirements, demonstrating excellence and professionalism in all we do.The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join our growing team, working directly with the Managing Director to lead a team of committed staff.

This role is integral to the success of our business and will play a leading role in taking Bajara Plant Hire to the next level.

You will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our staff, ensuring efficient systems and processes are in place across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Formulate Bajara's corporate strategy, including goals, objectives, priority markets, and how to win in those markets.
  2. Foster a high-performance culture and drive team morale through engaging leadership.
  3. Support the Managing Director with commercial and contractual negotiations with clients, strategize, and advise on new market opportunities.
  4. Play a leading role in recruitment, performance management, industrial relations, and staff matters.
  5. Monitor the overall performance of the business, including financial and budget management, and offer advice on financial matters.
  6. Ensure Bajara achieves and maintains ISO accreditation across safety, quality, and environmental categories.
Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented individual with at least 5 years of experience in a General Manager or senior executive role.

Tertiary qualifications in commerce, law, or accounting are highly regarded.

Civil construction industry experience is an advantage, but not essential.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders, are essential.

You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and be driven to achieve agreed goals and objectives.
