The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR leader to join an organisation experiencing significant growth and that is passionate about its local community.
Overseeing a high-performing Business Partnering team, you will support leaders across the business with Employee Relations.The Role
Reporting to the Manager of People Services, you will be responsible for the following:
- Lead the People Services team to provide proactive people-related expertise to the organisation on the employment lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employment changes, performance management, and development.
- Supporting managers throughout the complete ER case management, conducting indepth investigations, and coaching managers on dealing with tough conversations. Cases will range in complexity covering bullying, harassment, misconduct, discrimination, and underperformance.
- Partnering with your manager to work through the EBA negotiation process, liaising with union representatives when required.
- Rolling out the implementation of newly created or updated EBAs.
- Working with leaders to understand capability gaps, working to bridge these gaps through coaching and guidance.
- Develop, implement, and review contemporary human resource management strategies aligned with their strategic goals and objectives.
- Implement all policies, procedures, systems, and work practices.
- Prior experience working within a similar HR Business Partnering/ER position, ideally leading a small to medium team.
- Experience in government, healthcare, tertiary education, or a diverse workforce would be highly advantageous.
- Strong ER/IR skills; with proven experience working through complex cases and dealing with multiple awards and agreements.
- Excellent working knowledge of current Australian Employment Law and Legislation.
- Confidence in providing highlevel support and advice to senior management.
