About the Role

The Assistant Principal – Administration, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, has a leadership role within the school community providinggeneral leadership in support of the Principal in the achievement of the acknowledged mission and goals of the community.

Additionally, the Assistant Principal – Administration provides specific leadership in those areas delegated by the Principal, showing a high level of leadership, professionalism, competence, proficiency and organisation.

Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements

Participation in and commitment to the sacramental life of the Catholic Church.
Understanding and commitment to education in the Catholic tradition.

Postgraduate (Master level) qualifications in Education and/or Religion as per Queensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Positions in Catholic Schools in Queensland.


Leadership experience:
Demonstrated ability in religious and education leadership.
Demonstrated administrative ability.
Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships.

Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary educational issues at state and national levels with particular reference to Religious Education.
Demonstrated commitment to the Pastoral Care of members of the school community.
Skills for building community including facilitation, delegation and consultation.
Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers.
Promote child safety at all times.
Current drivers' license.
A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Catholic Education.

Eligibility Requirements

Be a committed, practicing Catholic.
Professional qualifications in Education and Religion as per Queensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Positions in Catholic Schools in Queensland

Hold or be eligible to hold, registration as a teacher in Queensland.
Have administrative and/or leadership experience.
