Part-time Retail Assistant

Noosa Sound 727 is a convenience shop located at Q Place, Noosa Heads.

Our shop hours are 7am to 7pm (7am to 9pm on public holidays and triathlon weekend), 7 days a week.

We have a wide range of items for sale from groceries to fishing gear and bait to variety items to help entertain the youth on holidays.

We are looking for 2 Part Time Retail Assistants to join our team

Duties include:

  • Selling and checking Scratchies
  • Working a till and balancing it at end of shift
  • Replenishing Stock
  • Unpacking and checking orders
  • Stock rotation
  • General cleaning of shop
  • Communication with customers
  • Handling customer complaints
  • How to upsell and promote products/promotions
  • Selling cigarettes
  • Stock take
  • Slushy and coffee machine operation
  • Hotbox operation
Flexible availability with a changing roster desired.

Would not suit high school students as needed during school hours.

Need to have a driver's license and reliable vehicle or the ability to get to and from work.

Good working ethics, a team player and communication skills a must. Must be confident to work unsupervised as only one person is on per shift. You must be responsible and willing to work hard as during peak times the job can be demanding.

Experience in retail a plus but not necessary as training provided. Must be willing to complete all online courses within the first 2 weeks of employment.


This is a part time position which includes annual leave and sick pay and therefore the hourly pay may be lower than you are used to if you have only been paid casual rates in the past.

Interviews will be held on Tuesdays and Saturdays with the Manager.

Please note there will be a trial period before offering a contract to the right person.
