Assistant Manager Job Description

SOFITEL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Front Office department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of our Front Office and Concierge teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Experience: Ensure exceptional guest service standards are maintained throughout the guest's stay, including effective supervision of all guest arrivals and departures.
  • Operational Efficiency: Utilize Opera software to ensure accuracy in use and produce a range of reports to meet operational needs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise lobby services, including Concierge and lobby table service, to ensure guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible.
  • Communication: Regularly liaise with Engineering and Housekeeping departments to ensure requests are completed quickly, focusing on guest needs as a priority.
  • Loyalty Program: Promote and ensure strong communication of ALL (Accor Live Limitless) as a key loyalty benefits program.
  • Facilities Management: Ensure public areas are clean and well presented with regular monitoring.
  • Management Presence: Ensure management support and presence is visible on Front Desk and in the lobby during key times throughout the day.
  • Reservations: Daily liaison with the Reservations office to ensure accuracy in room allocation and maximizing of yield.
  • Emergency Response: Assume responsibilities as Chief Fire Warden, and primary First Aid officer as required.
  • Staff Development: Openly communicate with staff, ensuring regular training and feedback is provided.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years previous leadership experience in a hotel Front Office department.
  • Passion for providing an exceptional guest experience.
  • Able to work a flexible 24/7 rotating roster including mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
  • Experience with Opera desirable.
  • First aid and Responsible Service of Alcohol certifications desirable.
