Accounts Payable Officer

The role:

Efficiently and accurately process all creditor invoices ready for payment.**:
Process the payment run to make the EFT and cheque payments to the creditors**:
Process other accounting data and input into the general ledger in an efficient and accurate manner.**:
Provide expert advice and support to all staff across Council who have procurement responsibilities.**
Skills, experience and certificates:
Previous experience in a high-volume accounts payable position (Highly desirable):
Tertiary/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related discipline or several years relevant experience.

Previous Accounts Payable experience using a computerised system, with knowledge and skills obtained through on the job training:

Understanding of superannuation obligations and requirements

Ability to accurately and proficiently input data with attention to detail

Prior experience with Altitude (Authority), CM9 and Microsoft Office suite (Desirable)
Mandatory Pre-Employment screening:
