We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team at TwoScots Recruitment. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, and SMSFs.

• Income Tax Returns: Prepare accurate and timely income tax returns for clients, with the potential to extend to more complex entities based on experience and capability.
• Xero Accounting Software: Utilize Xero to process transactions, reconcile bank statements, and manage accounting records.
• Accounting Services: Provide comprehensive accounting services for clients, including bookkeeping, preparation of quarterly or monthly BAS, payroll, and STP processing.
• Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns.
• Client Relationships: Handle phone calls and in-person client interactions, while also managing online communications.
• Independence: Work independently with clients, taking responsibility for managing client relationships and ensuring their accounting needs are met.

• Xero Proficiency: Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.
• Software Experience: Experience with Office 365, BGL, and familiarity with MYOB and QuickBooks (QB) is beneficial.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships independently.
• Hands-on Approach: A hands-on approach with a willingness to engage in all aspects of accounting and financial processing.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a small team environment, contributing to a collaborative and supportive workplace culture.
