Australia's largest public museum organisation is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Social Media Support Officer to join our team for a fixed period until 31 July 2023.

ABOUT THE POSITION:


The purpose of this position is to provide social media support to the marketing and media team, across Museums Victoria's three museums, Museums Victoria channels and the Royal Exhibition Building and Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre.

The position is accountable for providing social media support to the marketing team, including social media content creation, community management, assisting with post scheduling to support major exhibitions, programs and events and acknowledgement of significant annual cultural or historical events.


Notable skills and experiences:

  • Demonstrated experience working in digital marketing with specific skills in social media content development and delivery.
  • Sound understanding of community management and responding to social media messages and comments while using social media best practice, maintaining a unified brand voice across different social media channels.
  • Experience using a content plan, social media management tool and Facebook Ads Manager to setup and manage paid campaigns.


The successful applicant will have a strong desire to work in a dynamic, close knit team, communicating with our loyal audience about the range of exhibitions, experiences and programs across our venues.

A natural content creator, the successful applicant will have a strong eye for detail, be digitally savvy, have excellent organisational skills and able to manage multiple, simulatenous tasks.

This is an outstanding opportunity to gain valuable experience at one of Victoria's premium cultural institutions, working with passionate, high skilled professionals across a wide range of specialisations.


OTHER INFORMATION
This is a fixed term, full time position until 31 July 2023. The salary on offer is $56,271 per annum (pro rata % superannuation.
