Tennis Australia (TA) is one of the largest sports governing body, entertainment and sports rights-holder, and media production houses in Asia-Pacific.
Tennis Australia engages with local and digital tennis fans through our domestic, grassroots-to-Grand Slam content channels showcasing tennis in Australia, Aussies-in-action and our Australian Open digital content, with significant and growing audiences around the world.
We are looking for a Social Media & Content Producer to join our communications team on a full time, permanent basis.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Content Strategy and Operations, this role will support the Content Team in both social media content creation, as well as writing editorial pieces across Tennis Australia, the Australian Open and the United Cup.
- In this role you will;_
- Manage content creation and publishing across multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube)
- Contribute editorial pieces that bring to life players, matches and the tennis environment, locally and globally
- Analyse social media insights to ensure continual performance, as well as garner insights for content ideation for both social media and editorial
- Collaborate crossdepartmentally to achieve business objectives and manage content calendars for all social channels.
- Stay current on platform updates, innovations, trends and tech to ensure that best practices are being applied across the board
- Act in a leading role in content publishing as a core team member during the Australian Open and other tournaments
- What you will bring to the role:_
- Relevant experience including planning and executing social media initiatives and/or content writing in a corporate or agency setting and community engagement/building experience
- Experience leveraging social media management and analytics tools
- Experience writing, editing, and crafting content for digital editorial and the social media space
- Passion for social media, sports and entertainment and familiarity with covering fastpaced live events on social media
- Prepared to work reasonable additional hours as part of a team roster, especially during peak event times in January
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
