Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Mainframe and Mainframe Modernization skills by:
  • Providing both functional and technical expertise in the transition of Mainframe core banking product data to third-party cloud-based solutions.
  • Implementing zOS APIs for various functionalities to integrate with Microservices and Digital platforms.
  • Active participation in Consolidation project, a key focus area at the bank aimed at consolidating multiple core banking systems into a single system to simplify operations and reduce complexity. This includes consolidating Business & Agriculture core banking to Bank's main Core banking system and White Labelling project as a prerequisite for the consolidation of merging Banks.
  • Lead upcoming projects, including Broker uplift, Data Lifecycle Management, and White Labelling initiatives.
  • Implementing pending functionalities and capabilities for Broker Lending platform rollout and the Product and Pricing engine.
  • Playing a pivotal role in solution discussions, collaborating with Business Analysts, Architects,
  • Development, and Testing teams to streamline Core Banking functionalities for the above projects.
  • Lead and mentor the Mainframe development and System testing teams, guiding them in the formulation and execution of Transformation and Simplification strategies as part of the Bank's Digitization project.
  • In the role as Delivery Lead, by adhering the social contract defined by the customer, responsibilities include:
  • Constantly stay connected with all impacted Project Managers (for Broker uplift, Data Lifecycle Management, and White Labelling initiatives) to keep them informed of impacts to scope and timelines.
  • Ensure that the work flowing from the Demand side (Transformation) is planned and the Team is solely focused on the highest priority based on the timelines.
  • Ensure that Jira Epics, Stories, Tasks and Bugs are being managed and governed daily to ensure the sprint has integrity.
  • Provide insights using the reporting out of the box using Jira and using Power BI Reports such as Burn down of Sprint, Epic and Release for Service Team, Insights to the Teams Capacity/Velocity, Data Hygiene of Jira for the Service Team.
  • Ensure the Agile Ceremonies like Daily Standup, Backlog Refinement/ Forward Planning, Showcase, Retrospective, Sprint Review are booked, organised, and facilitated efficiently and that any follow up actions resulting from ceremonies are carried out.
  • Can coach the team to be selfsustaining, organise and run the above ceremonies themselves.
  • Ensure the Definition of Ready (DOR) is kept and maintained, work is not planned or executed unless it meets the DOR therefore keeping the Integrity of the sprints.
  • Boosting morale when needed in the team. this can be in many forms depending on the team, respectively.
  • Support the team members within the team to remove blockers but promote the escalation to the Delivery Lead when they cannot remove themselves and that any impediments that are unable to be unblocked by the Delivery Lead, is then escalated to the Service Owner/ Delivery
  • Owner/Practice Delivery Lead.
  • Be accountable to improve the Delivery Efficiency of the respective Service Teams as part of continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a Scrum Master, leveraging excellent interpersonal, delivery, and problemsolving skills to mentor and motivate teams towards improved delivery processes. Responsibilities include facilitating meetings, decisionmaking, and removing impediments.
  • Capable of effortlessly utilizing the Power BI platform, Customer's selfservice business analytics tool, through the development of interactive reports fed from a variety of datasources and to help bridge gaps from Jira to understand and evaluate the data at a much deeper and more meaningful way and report to the Delivery Owners and Service Owners.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience serving as Delivery lead managing various Technology & Transformation projects for a Banking Customer, specifically focusing on the Mainframe Core Banking system.
  • Strong understanding of Mainframe and integration platforms and Agile principles and practices.
  • Possess indepth knowledge of:
  • Various banking portfolios such as Mortgage Loans System (MLN), Commercial Loans System (CLN), Demand Deposit System (DDA) and Revolving Credit System (RCA), etc.
  • Various fees and rates like Default fee, Monthly service fees, Originations fee, Global rate change etc.
  • Communication with end users for settlement letter,
