Part-Time - 30hrs a fortnight
As the Family Violence Practitioner, you will be working on-site within a specialist facility providing case management services and support to victim survivors of family violence who are at risk of homelessness.
You will assess risk and link the clients with appropriate supports as well as assist them with exploring options of secure, sustainable accommodation.
This position is 2 days per week (30 hours per fortnight) currently until 30th June 2023 in line with current funding with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
- Assess risk and assist clients to keep them safe from family violence
- Develop individually tailored support and housing plans
- Support clients to access suitable long term accommodation
- Provide information and advocacy to clients
- Refer clients to access Family Violence supports where appropriate
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Master of Social Work (or relevant to the minimum qualification framework)
- Minimum of 12 months experience working within the community services sector ideally in Family Violence and/or Homelessness
- Victorian Driver's License
- National Police Check
- Working with Children's Check
