We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children's Family Violence Practitioner to join our specialist family violence team. As a key member of our team, you will provide child-focused, trauma-informed family violence support to infants, children, and young people in collaboration with their mother and other supports.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Deliver Therapeutic Activities: Design and implement high-quality, age-appropriate therapeutic activities and support to promote the well-being and resilience of children.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and Risk Management: Engage with mothers and children to conduct child-specific risk assessments and develop effective risk management strategies.
- Develop Support Plans: Collaborate with mothers and other support staff to develop and implement child-specific support plans that address the unique needs of each child.
- Provide Secondary Consultation: Offer expert advice and guidance to Case Managers and other support staff to ensure comprehensive support for women and children.
- Empower Mothers and Strengthen Relationships: Utilize a strengths-based approach to empower mothers in their parenting and strengthen the mother-child relationship, promoting a sense of safety and security.
- Collaborate with Services and Stakeholders: Work closely with a range of services and stakeholders to ensure seamless support for women and children, promoting their goals and aspirations.
