About the Position

The Senior Business Development Manager will have a pivotal role in propelling business growth for Ofload in Australia. The ideal candidate will be tasked with identifying and pursuing new business prospects with major Australian freight customers, fostering strategic partnerships, and cultivating robust relationships with key stakeholders. They will collaborate closely with the larger Commercial team, encompassing Marketing and Analytics, to formulate and execute effective business development strategies that align with Ofload's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target new business opportunities to expand Ofload's Australian customer base.
  • Develop and execute successful business development strategies aligned with company objectives to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understand their freight needs, and offer tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to create compelling sales pitches, presentations, and proposals.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential clients to establish new business partnerships.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, sales pipelines, and progress towards targets.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in business development.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Development Manager, particularly in a senior role in similar organizations.
  • Thorough understanding of the Australian logistics, particularly the road freight market, industry trends, and customer requirements.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and meeting sales targets.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset for market research and data analysis to identify opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in CRM software and other relevant business tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
