Your role at St John of God Ballarat Hospital
As the Director of Corporate and Business Development, you will support the CEO to develop sustainable growth strategies and lead a dynamic Corporate Services and Business Development team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation's Mission, Values and strategic priorities are achieved.
The Corporate Services and Business Development streams include Business Development, Hotel and Environmental Services, Facilities Management, and Pharmacy.
This Executive role has lead responsibility for the Hospital's growth, which is critical to achieving its financial and operational targets, including: identifying, developing and leading the implementation of strategies to increase revenue and margin; specific business and service development opportunities; leading the Hospital's Visiting Medical Office (VMO) engagement strategy; including recruitment and retention; and utilising market intelligence and analytics of current and past performance to drive key activities.
The Position
- Provide leadership and direction to all caregivers within Corporate Services streams
- Develop, implement and evaluate Corporate Service stream annual operational plans
- Develop a Corporate Services structure and environment which facilitates service excellence and contributes to service growth.
- Guide the ongoing education and formation opportunities of Corporate Services caregivers to enhance culture and performance
- Build positive internal and external relationships through communication and consultation
- Work closely with Director of Finance to develop and achieve approved operational and capital budget plans.
- Oversee the development and implementation of all capital projects within the division.
- Work closely with the CEO and Director of Medical Services on the strategic and tactical recruitment of new VMOs. Specifically, utilise data and insights to create new and innovative VMO recruitment and retention strategies.
- Ensure the provision of effective 'on-boarding' services for new VMOs, to support them to rapidly establish their practice and grow activity at the Hospital.
- Design and provide services to support VMOs to grow their business in alignment with SJGHC's strategic imperatives.
You will demonstrate previous experience and effective performance in a leadership role within a relevant environment. As a senior leader, you will demonstrate ability to be a collaborative leader and change agent in a complex environment. A tertiary qualification in Business and/or Health Management (or working toward such qualifications) is desirable.
To succeed in this position you will demonstrate sound conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills necessary to evaluate, approve or recommend proposed changes in policy, procedures, equipment or staffing levels etc.
