About the Team

The team is responsible for identifying key trends and insights and sharing these with Case Management leadership to drive improvements in performance and quality, using a Continuous Improvement framework.

The team contributes to a range of improvement activities, including policy development, and training activities for staff.

About the Role


The APS5 Quality Officer will be required to undertake quantitative and qualitative reviews of plans developed by the Agency, activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident.

The role will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that supports and contributes to Agency's objectives.


The position is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility.

The position will be required to provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.


The APS5 Quality Officer will be required to undertake activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident.

It will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that supports and contributes to Agency objectives.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting quality assurance and quality control activities in relation to Case Management processes and decision making.
  • Implementing a range of moderate to complex quality surveys.
  • Providing professional and technical commentary to survey findings and improving decision making, dispute resolution practice and performance.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing improvement strategies for delivering branch goals and strategic objectives.
  • Supporting the Quality team in delivering a range of Quality projects, for informing and improving Case Management practice.

Role Specifications
The role is required to be performed in a work environment that has the following core characteristics and requirements:

  • Working in an open office environment (exposure to general workplace chatter)
  • Working from home on occasion
  • Working in a hot desk environment
  • Significant periods of sitting at a counter or desk
  • Operating a telephone
  • Computer/screen based work
  • Assistance animals may be in the work area
