About the Role As our new Business Development Lead you will be responsible for proactively growing and managing a pipeline of high-value and strategic customers commonly with over 100 sites.

This will include;


Develop and maintain key customer and consultant/ broker relationships to ensure EA receives all opportunities to participate, negotiate and provide a final opportunity to price.

Manage large bids and tenders by developing business cases and submission documents that optimise customer energy solutions according to number of sites, energy usage profiles, prevailing and future energy pricing, government incentives, etc.

Demonstrate a capacity and propensity for innovation that drives sales for Energy Australia by leveraging internal stakeholders such as marketing, props & pricing and trading teams.

Other ad hoc tasks may include settlement negotiations, account reconciliations, responding to and taking ownership of escalated enquiries and complaints in a prompt and professional manner.


About You You are a proactive and Tenacious B2 B sales professional with a proven ability to understand customers, identify and execute customer value propositions and build & execute plans that deliver a great customer experience Prior experience in the energy industry or an industry with complex regulatory obligations is highly regarded.

In addition, to your strong and successful proven track record in delivering sales you will have a collaborative approach, knowing when to bring others in and working with the needs and values of the business at heart.

You will bring;

Ability to work collaboratively within an organisation with multiple dependencies
Build strong relationships built on credible performance, collaboration, and personal leadership
Use financial, economic, and other business indicators to evaluate and manage the performance of the business
Experience of selling complex products to business and government customers with demonstrable ability to do so with high standards, quality and compliance
