Mackay Regional, Australia AusNet Services Full time

When you choose AusNet, you'll join genuine people working together making Real. Progress

At AusNet, we're the link between renewable energy sources and local communities, playing a key role in the clean energy transition and providing essential energy to every Victorian family.

Help us lead the way, while enriching your career with real people who encourage you to bring your best and make real impact - for your career, our communities, and Australia's cleaner energy future.

Purposeful work with genuinely good people. That's refreshing.

It's time for you to take charge and become part of a team who will play a critical role in a critical Customer-focused Project. This project is an improvement programme focused on uplifting the connection experience for our customers and industry partners who wish to establish a connection to our electricity distribution network.

As the Lead Business Analyst in our Reimagining Customer Connections Project, you will be accountable for providing the team with expert knowledge and advice on business unit processes and products / services to help identify and assess business problems/opportunities while proposing solutions that meet the project requirements.

Enrich your career with real people who encourage you to bring your best in a role that will see you as a critical member of the project team where you will work with stakeholders to define, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems.

With a Hybrid split, this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Reimagining Customer Connections Project Team in Network Operations. This role is a fixed term contract role for 12 months.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Articulate overarching business objectives, process and business requirements (functional and non-functional) for the project.
  • Provide design and thought leadership to other Business Analysts both internal and external.
  • Analyse and model data and processes to generate insights (issues/opportunities) and recommend business process improvement opportunities to deliver against project objectives
  • Contribute to identification and design realisation of project business benefits by measuring process improvements (eg timing) or other cost/benefit analysis
  • Support the various piloting efforts performed throughout the project (eg process pilots, technical testing)
  • Contribute to the development of future operating models to support the end to end customer connections processes.
  • Contribute to development of business policy and procedures and/or training material to ensure successful implementation of business change
  • Preparing and presenting written reports (eg business requirements specifications)
  • Identify and build strong relationships with key customers / stakeholders across different locations, levels (management & end users) and business functions to solicit requirements
  • Analysing business & Customer user issues and critical complaints and facilitating key stakeholder agreement on effective solutions.
You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
  • Experience in a similar role in Consulting or Energy Sector with a strong background in project management of business and digital improvements relating to delivery of connection related services to customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and lead work pieces to successfully deliver business outcomes
  • High level of consulting, influencing interpersonal and communication skills and driven to achieve results
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks as allocated, to see them through to delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills
  • Demonstrated commercial, business and customer focus
  • Proven ability to proactively identify, resolve and (where appropriate) escalate issues
A real place to belong

We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team. Engage and connect through our social club, family day, wide range of events or by joining one of our Employee Network Groups.

We believe in more than just competitive pay. Here's what sets us apart:
  • Flexibility: whether this is hybrid work, flexible hours, or part time arrangements, we'll work with you to help balance work and life.
  • Leave: more than typical personal leave and a generous 14 weeks of paid parental leave, with no minimum service.
  • Community giving: a paid day to volunteer with our social impact partner, Foodbank, or for a cause that matters to you.
  • Perks: we offer all the other perks you've come to expect like purchased leave, income protection insurance, novated leasing, corporate discounts, private health cover discounts and more.
As an industry in transformation, we're excited by the possibilities ahead.

So, if you're passionate about our purpose and committed to making real progress, bring your energy and join AusNet. Together, we can shape a new way forward. #J-18808-Ljbffr
