About the role

Our business team is dynamic, fast-paced, and always evolving. We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our VIC team, working with our customer community in South-east Chadstone or with business customers in Melbourne's western suburbs.

You will engage with your community, meet new clients, engage in insightful conversations, learn about their needs, and how Officeworks can support their businesses. Your focus will be on acquiring new medium to large-sized business customers and establishing long-term, profitable relationships.

This role is crucial to the growth of our B2B offering at Officeworks, presenting a great opportunity to join our Business team during this expansion phase.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Build relationships with stakeholders at various levels, including C-suite executives, by providing tailored solutions that enhance their businesses
  • Identify new business opportunities within a portfolio of medium to large customers
  • Identify and execute growth opportunities
  • Create account plans through detailed planning and customer interactions
  • Collaborate with Business Specialists and utilize store networks to generate leads and enhance your personal brand among customers
About you

You are self-motivated and client-focused, excel at building relationships, and have a track record of achieving targets and finding optimal solutions for customers. You should have at least 2 years of Sales or Business Development experience in a B2B environment. Additionally, you should demonstrate:

  • Ability to establish sustainable relationships with business customers
  • Strong grasp of identifying and meeting customer needs while ensuring high satisfaction
  • Experience in field sales, acquiring new business, and delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Comprehensive understanding of sales principles, including pipeline management and innovation
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to engage with top executives
  • Excellent time management, organizational abilities, and proficiency in Salesforce
