About the role:


We are looking for a creative and energetic team member to be part of our Accessible Communications Team to support the Merri-bek Connectors Program.

This role assists the strategic development and management of the Merri-bek Connectors Program.

This program is a paid volunteer program of 20-25 community members across culturally and linguistically diverse groups that support Council communications through their own in-language channels for disseminating information.

Experience working with multicultural and multilingual communities

  • Experience supporting communications initiatives and campaigns
  • Experience in writing, editing and publishing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build community connections
  • Ability to manage a range of stakeholders, problemsolve and work well with others.
  • Experience working in project or program delivery, or in a related area
  • Ability to speak a Merribek community language is highly desired
  • For example, but not exclusive to: Arabic, Chinese, Turkish, Urdu, Greek, Italian, Vietnamese or Nepali
