Your next opportunity:
We are sourcing a Reporting and Insights Manager to join our team at AIA in either Melbourne or Sydney.

Reporting to the Head of Reporting and Insights, within this role you will be responsible for supporting the development of self-serve capabilities to internal stakeholders and regulators across our distribution, claims, underwriting, service and vitality areas.


To do this successfully you will:

  • Develop, manage and maintain data models for analytics & reporting, including logical model, development and staging areas and source systems as necessary to meet new and changing business requirements.
  • Support the development of a roadmap to progressively mature the Group Life Insurance channel reporting.
  • Support leaders across the business and systems owners to develop operational opportunities through ongoing reviews of business process and data quality.
  • Utilise your high level stakeholder management skills to enable the promotion of your ideas, management of conflicting priorities and challenging of others where appropriate to ensure speed-to-service & high quality outcomes.
  • Support IT and Data Governance teams to ensure the required infrastructure support and Critical Data Element (CDE) data is provided & transform to reflect business logics and processes.
  • Advance agility and speed-to-service to design & develop Management dashboards & self-service operational reporting through regular stakeholder engagement and timely business insights.
  • Develop and maintain Data Dictionaries and other relevant documentation as required.
  • Tertiary qualification in Technology or related discipline.
  • Solid previous experience in data analytics & visualisation.
  • Strong analytic Tools capabilities (SQL, R) a significant advantage.
  • Strong capability with dashboard tools like Tableau, Microsoft Power BI.
  • Sound knowledge of the Australian Life Insurance industry highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Data & Information Management.
  • The ability to communicate succinctly and persuasively, both verbally and through written presentations, and influence a broad range of stakeholders.
  • A delivery focused mindset and exceptional customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
