About the role


Working directly under the Chief Data, Analytics & Strategy Officer, the Reporting & Insights Lead/Manager will be responsible for data driven strategy across the organisation.

Please note that this is a hands on role, with people leadership likely to commence in October.

The initial focus will be on consolidating our reporting suite, setting up some trusted data-marts/cubes and driving stakeholder education through deliberate roll out of these reports/dashboards.


Other focus areas would be creating a data catalogue & setting a data retention policy as part of governance standards, refining current QA frameworks/standards and working with the CDASO to continue to deliver actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.


The DAS team has a high performance culture and there is a big demand for reporting and insights across our organisation.

The role would suit someone who has a high energy personality, is an excellent communicator and is action orientated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the reporting and insights functions; setting direction and implementing towards our strategic initiatives.
  • Preparing regular (at least monthly) reports on the progress towards project goals and deliverables and quarterly board reports. Provide weekly and monthly summaries of reporting and insights activities.
  • Building partnerships with all key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and cooperation exists at all times.
  • Provide hands on support in terms of QA and setting up frameworks for quality standards for reporting tasks. Ensure that output produced is robust and trusted.
  • Lead the automation of manual tasks, in particular BAU reporting by creating and maintaining trusted datacubes/ datamarts.
  • Implement a consolidated reporting suite which has clear definitions, assumptions used and RACI. Roll this out to the end business stakeholders, educating users of benefits.
  • Drive the adoption of new reporting technology in particular Power BI dashboards with selfservice reporting.
  • Work with Group Risk and Compliance and Legal areas to create a catalogue for our data assets and work on a data retention policy.
  • Translate the modelling and insights findings into actionable recommendations for strategy.
  • Design and roll out a framework to measure and quantify changes of champion challenger initiatives and other AB tests (with statistical significance); and then communicate findings to key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring projects on the business plan are delivered within agreed timeframes and achieving the anticipated benefits.

About You

  • Expert knowledge of reporting methodology.
  • SQL Server and PowerBI skills.
  • Preferably a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Understanding of the contact centre business
  • Demonstrated experience in contact centre workflow, management systems and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position at a senior level
  • Previous experience managing reporting & insights staff would be highly regarded.
