The opportunity:

To do this successfully you will:

  • Act as a key contributor to the execution of the Enterprise Performance, Reporting & Insights strategic plan, ensuring that reporting is prioritised to meet internal customer, distribution partner and external regulatory requirements to deliver measurable business value
  • Perform the role of primary business product owner and sponsor delegate (where appropriate) on all Business Intelligence and reporting related projects
  • Project management of regulatory reporting, including continuously improving processes to ensure efficiency and reliability of data
  • Identify and deliver on measurable value creation opportunities through reporting and insights
  • Drive the implementation of an integrated reporting and insights framework, that aligns with AIA's strategy, governance processes, policies and the realisation of business value
  • Coordinate the stakeholder and organisational change associated with reporting and insights platform and infrastructure changes
  • Empower, motivate and support the Centre of Excellence through removal of impediments to performance and coordinate domain knowledge and technical capabilities uplift, ensuring removal of singlepoint sensitivities across the team
  • Lead a strong team of reporting and insights specialists by driving team resilience and a culture of agility whilst promoting a positive team culture
  • Support the GM Enterprise Performance, Reporting & Insights in holding the business to account for benefit realisation
  • Current experience working in a Head of Reporting and Insights role or similar within the life insurance industry
  • A proven track record in delivery of large scale financial technology projects involving complex data and reporting requirements utilising Agile practices and cadences
  • An expert level of knowledge of the key drivers of the individual and group life insurance markets
  • Leadership of multilayered teams in sophisticated and fast paced environments
  • A solid understanding of the Australia health insurance market would be highly regarded but not essential
  • Exceptional customer engagement skills and the ability to develop strong, trusted relationships with senior team members.
