Role Intro:


The Data Configuration Specialist works closely with the organisation to ensure the data aspects of delivery are compliant, understood and meet the end customer expectation.

They will drive the delivery of Greater Bank's technical data migration and demonstrate success through the successful and ongoing data migration.


What are we looking for?

  • Experience with MS SQL Server databases including the ability to read and execute T-SQL Scripts
  • Knowledge and experience with ETL Tools, preferably Informatica
  • Experience in deploying of data, database, and packaged software changes through multiple environments
  • An analytical problemsolver with decision making ability and a high attention to detail
  • Experience supporting architecture, data modelling, integration, ETL/ELT, BI and data visualization activities
  • Demonstrated relevant endtoend experience within the Financial Services sector with design to implementation of Data and / or software development solutions

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Drive the management of the data migration process to ensure data accuracy and completeness, through data mapping, defining data processes and data testing and validation activities.
  • Working with key internal and external stakeholders, lead and manage the planning and delivery of a large and complex data migration initiative
  • Develop ELT/ETL pipelines to support data integration and Data solutions
  • Work with the organisation to elicit and document requirements, and define business rules and data transformation processes
  • Undertake relevant testing and validation of data migration to ensure the safe migration of data within required timeframes
  • Troubleshoot data issues and provide remediation as required
  • Working with the Data and Analytics team, create and maintain governance between logical and physical data architecture
  • Document solution architecture, technology components and information flows
  • Work with software engineers to design ideal solutions and solve technical issues
  • Work with business analysts to clarify business needs and data transformation rules
  • Define and refine user stories for development
