SELECTION CRITERIA

  • NESA accreditation to teach in New South Wales (required)
  • Demonstrated skills in playing and teaching a variety of musical instruments.
  • A proven passion for the arts demonstrated through teaching experience
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the NSW Curriculum and current teaching and
learning theory and practice

  • Capacity to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the
diverse needs of all learners through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical
practices to maximise learning

  • Experience with a range of online platforms, including Learning Management Systems,
to support learning and provide feedback

  • Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and cater to diverse learning needs
  • Creative mindset and ability to design interactive and dynamic lessons
  • Organisational skills to manage schedules, events and student records
  • A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural
incident***- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications

  • A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when
engaging with children.
