About the Role

The Scots College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to join our team as a ScotsX Core Teacher and Learning Designer. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering program that is redefining the future of education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver the refinement and growth of the ScotsX program, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovative education.
  • Contribute to the planned integration of the program across Stage 4 in future years, driving strategic growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement new approaches to teaching and learning, focusing on student character formation and academic excellence.
  • Provide coaching and support to other teachers in new approaches to pedagogy, curriculum, and assessment, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest educational research, trends, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance the ScotsX program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent, and NESA teacher accreditation.
  • Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to work within tight timeframes and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, school organisation policy and procedures.
  • Proficiency in developing new approaches to teaching and learning, with a focus on student character formation.
  • Experience in teaching and pastorally caring for Stage 3 and/or Stage 4 boys.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and communication platforms.
  • Ability to coach other teachers in new approaches to pedagogy, curriculum, and assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum and learning design frameworks and processes.
  • Subject expertise, preferably in Mathematics and Science.
  • Breadth of knowledge beyond subject specialty, to see integrations across disciplinary domains.
