Role responsibilities


The Finance Officer will report into the Finance Manager in this exciting, newly created role - a great opportunity for someone looking to use their finance experience for good and kickstart their career in the for-purpose space, learning hands-on from an experienced Finance Manager in the charity sector.


  • Support the Finance Manager across: Accounts Payable/Receivables, payroll processing and reporting and reconciliations
  • Support the processing and invoicing of donations as well as reconciliations and reporting
  • Providing administrative and office support as needed, such as liaising with suppliers and taking general inquiries over the phone

Essential Requirements

  • Bookkeeping qualifications or qualifications by experience, such as accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations and cash handling procedures
  • Previous experience working with Xero (or similar accounting package) and an understanding of the NFP sector (and fringe benefit tax) will be highly regarded as well
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong time management, the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines, and the ability to work through problems or challenges logically
  • Tech savviness, experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as intermediate to advanced Excel skills
