As our new Development Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our Property function, providing expert project management support for property development initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to initiate, plan, coordinate, and administer projects to achieve business objectives, including meeting targets for time, budget, quality, safety, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor project risks and issues registers, ensuring ongoing management and escalation as necessary.
  • Prepare comprehensive project status reports, including updates on delivery, financials, and risk management, presenting to relevant forums as required.
  • Identify opportunities for business improvement through process analysis and delivery.
  • Define and manage QA/testing and other conversion activities.
  • Provide stakeholders with pertinent information to facilitate decision-making and project dependency forecasting.
  • Establish project briefs and detailed design briefs to ensure alignment with business needs and expectations.
  • Lead design reviews of project documentation, applying value management and engineering techniques to optimise outcomes.
  • Coordinate required resources (internal & external) efficiently to meet defined work schedules.
  • Plan project stages and align internal stakeholders with project timelines and requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure cost-effectiveness, adherence to specifications, and quality standards.

About you:

  • Minimum of 6 years of project management experience.
  • Ability to make decisions balancing commercial outcomes with customer experience while mitigating risks.
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams, managing performance, and delivering on accountabilities.
  • Sound knowledge of various trades, their processes, and practices.
  • Ability to develop scopes of work, prepare budgets, and schedule trade work.
  • Familiarity with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, practices, and risk assessment methodologies.
