About the role


Working with the Director, Payroll and Reporting, the Assistant Director is responsible for the oversight and management of the day-to-day functions of payroll and reporting, supervising a small team providing advice and support to departmental employees and Members of Parliament on salary and conditions of employment.


The role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance Aurion, ensuring the system is operating efficiently and is effectively maintained.

The successful applicant will be an experienced leader who can influence, plan and deliver outcomes and support the direction of the team.

They should have experience in managing end-to end payroll processes.


The Assistant Director will work collaboratively with the Finance Office to provide accurate and timely information for the purposes of audit, reporting and system improvements.
