Cleaner - Birkdale State School

About Us:
Birkdale State School has approximately 650 students and is situated on the corner of Birkdale Road and Agnes Street in Birkdale.
This is apparent in the popularity of the school in the area which attracts a significant number of enrolments from the surrounding suburbs.
Your Opportunity:
- Contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support.
- Ensure that the duties prescribed for the position are completed to an acceptable standard as determined by their supervisor, in accordance with the approved school cleaning program.
About the Role:
As the Clear your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
- Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met.
Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.Mandatory Requirements:
- When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
