About the Location
Yugumbir State School was established in 1986. Our school enjoys a very positive reputation, with over 1110 students benefitting from our caring and inclusive school culture. About the Role
Working at Yugumbir State School as a Guidance Officer, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and community stakeholders to enhance student support and well-being.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required by school policies, regulations, and funding requirements and at times participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention plans.
- Provide leadership and specialised support in response to student protection issues; critical incidents and emergencies; and the transition of students into alternative education programs, and their reintegration back into mainstream schooling
- Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
- Balance the ethical issues of privacy and confidentiality for each student with the appropriateness of sharing information with others, and maintain a comprehensive and professional record keeping system that complies with policy and legal requirements of parental and legal access to official records.
