Job Description
Project Manager | Gunnedah
- Base salary of $117 - $129k per annum.
- Supported promotional opportunities.
- Deliver a variety of infrastructure projects for the local community.
Due to an internal promotion, Gunnedah Shire Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Infrastructure Services Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a variety of infrastructure projects within the Shire. This is an opportunity to work for a progressive council, in a beautiful regional location, while making a true difference to the local community.
About the Role
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to a high-quality standard.
- Develop project plans, schedules and high-level monthly reports.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and community groups.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, including workplace health and safety and contract management.
- Manage project budgets, including monitoring and forecasting project expenditures.
- Provide leadership to teams, including supporting staff development.
About the Person
Gunnedah Shire Council is seeking a strong, hands-on Project Manager with a tertiary qualification in Project Management (or a similar discipline). The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, a collaborative team member, who has the ability to work autonomously and drive project delivery.
