VGA has an opening for a Director to lead the

Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) activities in Australia. As

Director FCA, you will hold the overall responsibility of Record to Report, Accounts Payable & Receivable and Tax & Audit teams ensuring local accounting, financial reporting and tax accuracy and compliance.

As a values-based leader, with strong business acumen and business qualifications you will be an exceptional communicator with extensive experience managing reasonably large finance teams.

You are a driving force for continuous improvement of systems and procedures, and initiate corrective actions with ease.

About the role:


The role of Director - Financial Control and Accounting (FCA) is to manage and oversee the accounting and financial reporting for VGA according to Group and local GAAP.

The role will drive country accounting and reporting agenda locally, and secure efficient use of local resources to deliver on the decided services, activities, and targets.

You will lead and execute company period end closing, including statutory reporting and compliance, ensuring that closing activities are completed on time according to closing schedule with all records reconciled.

Additionally, the Director FCA will manage and facilitate audits for Volvo Group Australia, including coordination of audit preparations and supporting requests for information required for audit.

The Director will ensure delivery of the complete financial statement for VGA in the Volvo Group consolidation system, and ensure alignment with relevant chapters of Volvo Group Financial Policies and Procedures and GAAP.

Additionally, you will lead and develop the broader Finance and Accounting staff regarding accounting standards and tax regulation for daily operations, establishing and driving accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Providing internal and external stakeholders with meaningful, accurate and timely financial information, the Director FCA will ensure that company financial statements and accounting records are accurate, and that each transaction complies with company policy, local tax regulations and statutory requirements.


About you:


Ideally you will have strong knowledge of Volvo Group as well as Australian accounting and tax legislation, as well as statutory requirements - CPA/ACA membership is highly desirable.

Proficient in SAP (or similar software) plus well refined strong analytical skills, your methodical and structured approach is paired with your high integrity and ability to problem solve.
