We are an iconic Newcastle based family-owned business with a national footprint that enhances approximately 100,000 homes every year.

Based in our Mayfield West (Steel River) office, you will be joining a small team that requires an experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Finance Manager with good people skills to manage all finance aspects across the business.

The opportunity:

  • Work with you small finance team to ensure the efficient management of all accounting functions
  • Reconciliation of all company accounts including inter-company loan accounts
  • Workcover reporting in each state and reconciliation of payments
  • Process of Purchase orders and supplier invoices.
  • Calculation and equalisation of payroll tax across all states
  • Enter creditor invoices into Xero, obtaining internal approvals in line with company policies
  • Communicate financial information and analysis to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ad hoc financial/administrative tasks as required by the management team

We require a high performing professional who has:

  • Solid business acumen
  • Is proactive and energetic
  • Is experience managing the finances of companies with multiple entities
  • Has a track record of leading others

The hours are flexible and can be tailored to suit the successful applicant with the opportunity of part time or full time work (minimum of 3 days per week).

When the family moved to Newcastle, he began one of the first carpet steam cleaning companies called Monster Magic. With TV advertisements which featured Paul grinding mud into his mother-in-law's carpets (and it really was Paul's mother in law's carpet) and then cleaning them, the business became well known in Newcastle and the carpet steam cleaning business took off.
